Johns Hopkins latest university to face federal antisemitism investigation

Johns Hopkins University has become the latest school to face an antisemitism investigation, as the Department of Education announced it was looking into the university on Monday.

Institutions of higher education across the country are under scrutiny from both the Education Department’s Office for Civil Rights and the House Education and Workforce Committee regarding responses to antisemitic activity on campus since the onset of the war that began after Hamas terrorists led an attack on Israel on Oct. 7.

The inquiry was instigated by a complaint from Campus Reform Editor-in-Chief Zachary Marschall, who has made similar complaints about other schools. As the Washington Examiner reported, the Education Department opened an investigation into Northwestern University in late January as a response to one of Marschall’s complaints.
