Newt Gingrich says US ‘can’t have a commander in chief who doesn’t know what he’s doing’

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich (R-GA) blasted President Joe Biden on Sunday after a special counsel report called into question the octogenarian’s mental capabilities.

“[I]n a world this dangerous, you can’t have a commander in chief who doesn’t know what he’s doing or where he is,” Gingrich told The Cats Roundtable host John Catsimatidis on WABC 770 AM.

The special counsel report, released Thursday, did not announce charges against Biden but concluded that he had mishandled classified documents. Part of the reason for not pursuing charges, special counsel Robert Hur wrote, was because Biden’s memory was “significantly limited” and that a jury would likely view the president as a “sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory.”
