Attorney General Merrick Garland revealed on Wednesday that special counsel Robert Hur has completed his report on President Joe Biden’s handling of classified documents, and Garland indicated that he plans to release the report in redacted form in the coming days.
According to a public letter he wrote to the top members of the Senate and House Judiciary committees, Garland said Biden’s personal and office counsel were still reviewing the report.
Garland said he would release “as much” of the report as he could once the privilege review was complete and once he had submitted the report to Congress.
“As I have made clear regarding each Special Counsel who has served since I have taken office, I am committed to making as much of the Special Counsel’s report public as possible, consistent with legal requirements and Department policy,” Garland wrote.
