50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis James Jackson III, criticized a new program giving immigrants living in New York City pre-paid credit cards to make food purchases, with a family of four getting $1,000 every 28 days. Mayor Eric Adams‘s spokeswoman, Kayla Mamelak, has argued that this program will give migrants more freedom of choice in what to eat.
“WTF mayor Adams call my phone, I don’t understand how this works somebody explain,” the rapper wrote in a social media post that has since been deleted. “Can’t explain this I’m stuck maybe TRUMP is the answer.”
