Captain America star Chris Evans heads to White House to talk to high schoolers about civic engagement

Actor Chris Evans will be stopping by the White House to promote his civic engagement platform and talking to dozens of high school seniors.

The Captain America star will join actor Mark Kassen, who co-founded the civic engagement website A Starting Point, on Tuesday morning for a livestreamed event at the White House to participate in a discussion with high school students about the economy and climate action.

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm, Deputy Treasury Secretary Wally Adeyemo, and White House Office of Public Engagement head Steve Benjamin will join the youth engagement discussion.

Evans, PEOPLE’s 2022 “sexiest man alive,” spoke with Kassen at the National Press Club on Monday about his civic engagement platform, which claims to be bipartisan in providing “the information behind the issues.”
