Georgia Senate approves creation of committee to investigate Fani Willis

The Georgia state Senate approved the creation of an investigative committee to scrutinize the conduct of Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis.

The state Senate voted 30-19 on Friday to investigate Willis following allegations that she engaged in an improper relationship with special prosecutor Nathan Wade while he continues to lead the prosecution in the election subversion case against former President Donald Trump.

The legislation to create a Senate Special Committee on Investigations was introduced by state Sen. Greg Dolezal on Monday. The committee will have the power to issue subpoenas and compel the production of records involving Willis and the allegations.
