The Freedom Caucus is building up its state network to strengthen influence in Congress

The House Freedom Caucus is looking to build on its state network this election period in order to increase its future influence in Congress by encouraging its members to run for national office.

There are at least two state Freedom Caucus members already running for office in the 2024 election, including in a Republican primary against an incumbent in South Carolina.

“Having the state Freedom Caucuses builds synergy for communications and networking to create sound ideas and cohesive conservative policies on the state and federal level,” Rep. Eric Burlison (R-MO) told Punchbowl News.
