Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT) called the situation at the southern border an “important issue” for former President Donald Trump‘s reelection campaign and criticized him for reportedly discouraging a GOP border resolution before the 2024 election.
“The fact that he would communicate to Republican senators and congresspeople that he doesn’t want us to solve the border problem because he wants to blame Biden for it is really appalling,” Romney told reporters on Thursday.
