Nikki Haley has friends in left-leaning places.
The former South Carolina governor received 4,695 write-in votes in the New Hampshire Democratic primary, according to the New Hampshire secretary of state’s office, even though she is not seeking that party’s nomination.
While some might point to that as evidence Donald Trump is right to say her voters are mostly Democrats, the former president didn’t do so badly with them himself, picking up 2,055 write-in votes from registered Democrats in the Granite State.
“Ceasefire” was the third most popular write-in vote for New Hampshire Democrats, receiving 1,497 votes after a last-minute push for anti-Israel voters to write the word in as a protest vote. While organizers deemed the effort a success, it represented just 1.2% of the total votes cast
