Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) reportedly proposed to his girlfriend on Saturday.
Scott popped the question to Mindy Noce along the beach in Kiawah Island in South Carolina, a proposal his new fiancée accepted, according to the Washington Post. The senator was fresh off the heels of accompanying Donald Trump on the campaign trail in New Hampshire after endorsing the former president.
“As a guy who is mostly an introvert and on the quiet side, having to have a conversation about the engagement is a little, you know, uncomfortable in a way, but it’s the most exciting thing I’ll do with my life besides making Jesus my Lord,” Scott told the outlet.
The two have been dating for about a year and anticipate getting married this year. Scott, 58, has never been married.
