Food stamps: January payments to Maryland residents worth up to $1,751 end tomorrow

Maryland will send its last Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program payments for the month of January to low-income residents tomorrow.

Food stamps will be distributed in the Old Line State until Tuesday. SNAP payments are issued to qualified residents from Jan. 4 to Jan. 23, with a recipient’s specific date depending on the first three letters of a household’s last name.

Those with last names beginning with TRB through WES should have collected their payments by Monday. Residents with last names WET through ZZZ should collect their benefits on Tuesday. A full list of each last name and its corresponding date can be found here.
