Trump racks up wins as GOP field shrinks

As the Republican presidential field has shrunk, one man has benefitted from his former opponents dropping out: former President Donald Trump.

Of the three remaining major GOP presidential candidates, Trump has received the most endorsements from former Republican nominees and is set to add an endorsement from Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC), who dropped out of the presidential race in November, at an event on Friday.

Scott joins former presidential candidates Vivek Ramaswamy and Gov. Doug Burgum (R-ND), who have endorsed Trump after bowing out of the primary contest. Trump has also received the endorsement from lesser-known GOP candidates who have dropped out of the race, including businessman Perry Johnson and radio host Larry Elder.
