Most say Fani Willis ‘compromised’ and should drop Trump prosecution

Fulton County prosecutor Fani Willis has lost the support of the public in her election racketeering case against former President Donald Trump, and many now believe that she should drop the charges.

In a survey that found an unusually high percent of the nation aware of and focused on the Georgia case against Trump and several co-defendants, most voters said that newly raised ethical charges against Willis and a fellow prosecutor suggest she is “compromised” and should back off.

In the Rasmussen Reports survey shared with Secrets, 49% said that the district attorney is compromised and the case against Trump “has to be dropped.” Some 41% disagreed.

The survey also tested a question about allegations that Willis hired a lover to handle much about the case against Trump, who has questioned the Fulton County 2020 vote count.
