Lauren Boebert cleared of domestic violence allegations following investigation

A police investigation has cleared Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) of domestic violence accusations from her ex-husband after his arrest following a restaurant altercation Saturday. 

The Associated Press reported Boebert’s ex-husband, Jayson Boebert, was arrested Tuesday for third-degree criminal trespass, criminal obstruction, and disorderly conduct, all related to the Miner’s Claim restaurant incident in Silt, Colorado, but he was released the same day. 

Jayson Boebert alleged that his ex-wife punched him in the face, and he later denied his own statement, according to Silt police. 

However, no one came forward as a witness, and no footage of the incident could be recovered. 

“Due to a lack of any evidence, the allegations of domestic violence against Rep. Lauren Boebert are unfounded and the investigation into Rep. Lauren Boebert is closed,” Silt police told the outlet.
