Nevada judge rejects 14th Amendment challenge to remove Trump from ballot

A Nevada judge rejected a 14th Amendment challenge to remove former President Donald Trump from the state’s GOP primary ballot.

Federal Judge Gloria Navarro ruled the man who brought the case forward, GOP presidential candidate John Anthony Castro, did not have proper standing, saying Castro manufactured his candidacy for president only to bring the case forward against Trump.

“In rejecting his political competitor standing argument, courts have found that Castro improperly manufactured his standing merely to file this lawsuit,” she wrote.

Navarro mentioned that Castro has brought forward several other nearly identical cases, all dismissed on the same grounds of lack of standing.
