Indiana Rep. Greg Pence announces retirement from Congress at end of term

Rep. Greg Pence (R-IN), who first assumed office in 2019, will retire at the end of this Congress, making him the 45th member of the House to announce an exit or to have already left.

In a post on X, Pence, the brother to former Vice President Mike Pence who once held that congressional seat, said that after serving for nearly five years, he had decided to leave Congress.

“As a former Marine Officer, I approached the job with purpose. After three terms, I’ve made the decision not to file for reelection,” Pence said in the post. “For the remainder of my term this year, our team will continue to focus on delivering outstanding constituent services.
