Biden chief of staff says ‘around a hundred’ Americans remain in Afghanistan

White House chief of staff Ron Klain said there are approximately 100 Americans still in Afghanistan .

Klain’s new evaluation comes almost a week after the U.S. military withdrew all of its service members from Afghanistan, ending the United States’s longest war.

“We believe it’s around a hundred. We’re in touch with all of them who we’ve identified on a regular basis,” he said on CNN’s State of the Union on Sunday.
