Connecticut is the first state to vaccinate half its adult population fully, according to its governor.
“Connecticut is the 1st state in the nation to fully vaccinate more than 50% of all adults over the age of 18,” Gov. Ned Lamont tweeted Monday afternoon. “Congrats to everyone who has been vaccinated so far! #KeepItUpCT.”
The most recently available data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention shows 3,321,709 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in the state, representing a doses-administered rate of 93,168 per every 100,000 people in the state’s population.
