Colorado governor extends face covering mandate

Democratic Colorado Gov. Jared Polis extended the state’s coronavirus face mask mandate for 30 days on Sunday.

The executive order requires residents to “wear face coverings over their nose and mouth in certain locations.” The move can be reextended by the governor at the expiration of the 30-day period.

The decision includes updated guidance that allows “individuals to remove their medical or non-medical cloth face coverings in public indoor spaces if 80%” of the people present “have shown proof of vaccination.”
