Former Vice President Mike Pence leads the pack of potential 2024 contenders in a new poll of Republican voters when former President Donald Trump is taken out of the equation.
The survey from Republican pollster Tony Fabrizio, which was conducted from Feb. 20 to March 2, has Pence leading among Republican voters nationally when Trump is excluded from the race. Pence captured 19% support among the 1,264 GOP voters surveyed, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis brought in 17%, and Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas came in third with 13% support.
