Former Olympic gymnastics coach with ties to Larry Nassar charged with human trafficking

A former U.S. Olympics gymnastics coach was hit with over 20 charges on Thursday, including human trafficking and sex crimes, after prosecutors alleged he coerced young girls to train under his watch and abused them over a number of years.

John Geddert, head coach of the 2012 U.S. women’s Olympic gymnastics team and associate of convicted sex offender Larry Nassar, was charged with 14 counts of human trafficking, six counts of human trafficking of a minor, one count of continuing criminal enterprise, one count of first-degree criminal sexual conduct, and one count of second-degree criminal sexual conduct.
