Suspended CBS Execs Now Face Additional Racism Allegations From Local Reporter

More allegations of racism at CBS News stations have emerged, just days after a bombshell Los Angeles Times investigation led to the suspension of two top network executives, Peter Dunn and David Friend, for allegedly fostering a hostile work environment for Black journalists and women managers.

Dunn is president of CBS Television Stations, and Friend is Senior Vice President, News, for the CBS Television Stations group.

In a social media post Tuesday, journalist Don Champion, who was a freelancer for WCBS in New York in 2013 and 2014, detailed the ways in which he was “bullied and discriminated against for being a gay Black man” while reporting for the affiliate.
