Dianne Feinstein canceled by hometown San Francisco school board by changing elementary school name

The San Francisco school board has voted to drop California Sen. Dianne Feinstein’s name, among others, from their school buildings.

Forty-four schools whose namesakes the board believed to have disreputable histories were dumped, including Feinstein Elementary School, John Muir Elementary, Lincoln High, Lowell High, Roosevelt Middle, and Washington High, the San Francisco Chronicle reported.

Feinstein, the first female mayor of San Francisco and a lifelong Democrat, was the only living person whose name was noted for removal.
