A Kentucky mayor was arrested Tuesday night after allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol and falling asleep at the wheel in a White Castle drive-thru before crashing into a pole.
Shively, Kentucky, Mayor Beverly Chester-Burton was arrested and charged with driving under the influence after officers found her standing outside her crashed car near a Louisville White Castle restaurant, according to the Courier-Journal.
Witnesses have said Chester-Burton fell asleep in her silver Cadillac and that several people tried to wake her by knocking on her window.
