New York City canceled its annual Santa Claus convention due to the coronavirus pandemic.
SantaCon, a yearly pub crawl where participants dress up as Santa Claus and bar hop around the city, announced on its website that the festivities won’t be taking place in 2020.
“All of the reindeer got the ‘Rona so, the elves have advised Santa to hold off on the in-person merriment,” its website reads. “There is no SantaCon NYC this year.”
The celebration has been held in New York since 1998, originally coming from San Francisco.
