Andrew Cuomo casts doubt on FDA and CDC handling of coronavirus vaccine

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo said he does not trust the Trump administration to prove a COVID-19 vaccine is safe and effective or to distribute it on a large enough scale.

“I think it’s going to be a very skeptical American public about taking the vaccine, and they should be,” Cuomo said on Good Morning America.

Cuomo, a Democrat and a critic of President Trump’s coronavirus response, expressed doubt about the reliability of the Food and Drug Administration and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
