Disney has placed content warnings on several of its classic animated films over racism and stereotype concerns.
“This program includes negative depictions and/or mistreatment of people or cultures,” a warning message says to viewers who attempt to watch movies such as Peter Pan, Dumbo, and, The Jungle Book on the streaming service Disney+, according to Daily Mail.
“These stereotypes were wrong then and are wrong now,” the warning continues. “Rather than remove this content, we want to acknowledge its harmful impact, learn from it and spark conversation to create a more inclusive future together.”
