Democratic state lawmaker arrested and charged with felony in Louisville riots

A Democratic state Representative was arrested on felony rioting charges in Louisville, Kentucky, following the announcement that police would not be criminally charged for the shooting death of Breonna Taylor.

Police arrested Rep. Attica Scott and her daughter Thursday night and charged them with first-degree rioting, a class D felony, failure to disperse, and unlawful assembly, according to WDRB News.

Louisville Metro Police Department has also accused Scott of associating with a group responsible for setting a library on fire and damaging other properties.
