A 95-year-old World War II veteran reportedly recovered from the coronavirus, saying if he survived Guam, he could beat the virus.
Bill Kelly, a McMinnville, Oregon, resident who lived during the Great Depression and fought in the Pacific Ocean theater during World War II, reportedly beat COVID-19 on Monday after being diagnosed in mid-March. “Grandpa Bill’s pretty hardcore,” his granddaughter Rose Ayers-Etherington told the Oregonian.
Kelly, who has several underlying medical issues such as kidney disease and a congenital heart condition, had a low-grade fever on March 15 and faced mild symptoms, Ayers-Etherington said. Kelly tested positive for the virus two days later.
