At least 15,000 Indians possibly infected with coronavirus by super-spreading guru who died from disease

A spiritual guru who died from the coronavirus after traveling through Europe and returning home to India is feared to have spread the disease to as many as 15,000 people who are now on government-mandated lockdown.

Sikh guru Baldev Singh, 70, visited Italy and Germany before returning to India, where he refused to adhere to self-isolation warnings and visited dozens of villages in the state of Punjab, which borders Pakistan. Nineteen people who interacted with Singh have tested positive for the virus.
