Off-duty Border Patrol agent killed in shooting at San Antonio hotel

An off-duty Border Patrol agent died Tuesday after being shot inside a hotel room in a neighborhood of San Antonio, Texas.

Jon Marburger, 47, who had been with the federal agency for 21 years, died after a shooting incident at the La Quinta Inn in Stone Oak, Texas, Customs and Border Protection confirmed to the Washington Examiner. The man’s wife, Sherry Marburger, was arrested at the scene and charged with murder late Tuesday, KSAT reported.
