President Trump tweeted in both Hebrew and Arabic in an appeal to Israelis and Palestinians to accept a proposed peace plan.
The tweets came just after he announced, alongside Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, a peace plan that calls for a Palestinian state with its capital in east Jerusalem in return for the recognition of major Jewish settlements in the West Bank.
“I will always stand with the State of Israel and the Jewish people. I strongly support their safety and security and their right to live in their historic homeland. It’s time for peace!” Trump wrote in Hebrew.
