NFL to air Super Bowl ad addressing police shooting via ‘Inspire Change’ initiative

The National Football League will air a commercial during the upcoming Super Bowl featuring a former player that addresses a controversial police shooting.

The 30-second spot stars former NFL standout Anquan Boldin whose cousin, Corey Jones, was shot and killed by a police officer in 2015. The officer, Nouman Raja, was found guilty of attempted manslaughter and attempted murder before being sentenced to 25 years in prison.

“There are some things just bigger than football. #InspireChange” Boldin posted on Twitter this week, along with a video of the ad.
