Democratic senators send letter to Pompeo condemning ‘insulting’ behavior toward NPR reporter

A group of Democratic senators on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee sent a letter to Secretary of State Mike Pompeo condemning him for blasting a journalist for NPR.

NPR’s Mary Louise Kelly conducted an interview with Pompeo on Friday morning that abruptly ended after she turned her questions to former Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch and Ukraine, according to the outlet. Pompeo then yelled at her in a moment that they have disputed as to whether it was off the record. After NPR published the additional remarks, the secretary of state rebuked Kelly and the publication.
