Los Angeles repeals law forcing companies to disclose NRA ties

The Los Angeles City Council repealed a law that required any company hoping to land a contract with the city to disclose any ties to the National Rifle Association.

In a unanimous vote, the council repealed the law following a federal court judge’s ruling from December that blocked the legislation from being enforced. The council had passed the law that required the city’s contractors to disclose any ties to the pro-gun group last year following a shooting at a bar in Thousand Oaks, California.
