USC fires three senior athletic officials connected to admissions scandal: Report

The University of Southern California has parted ways with three of its senior athletic officials who were connected to the university’s admissions scandal.

On Tuesday, the university fired CFO and COO Steve Lopes, Senior Associate Athletic Director Ron Orr, and Scott Jacobson, who was part of the university’s fundraising and development teams, according to the Los Angeles Times.

The firing came after USC tapped Mike Bohn to become the university’s athletic director late last year. The three senior officials were let go as the university looks to move past its admissions scandal, in which families bought their children’s entrance to the school by
