The military plane carrying Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross had to make an emergency landing near Washington, D.C., not long after it took off.
The jet departed Monday en route to Guatemala but had to turn around after its landing gear didn’t retract. The aircraft circled and dumped fuel before it landed back at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland, where the flight left from.
Records show the plane was in the air for about 39 minutes before it landed. During that time, it flew in circles multiple times.
Everyone aboard the flight was uninjured,
