Sen. Elizabeth Warren ripped efforts by Sen. Bernie Sanders’s campaign to attack her as only appealing to “affluent” and “highly educated” voters.
“I was disappointed to hear that Bernie is sending his volunteers out to trash me,” said Warren on Sunday. “Bernie knows me and has known me for a long time.”
Warren, 70, called for “Democrats to unite” and defended the “grassroots coalition” she is building ahead of the 2020 presidential election.
“We cannot nominate someone who takes big chunks of Democratic coalition for granted. We need someone who can bring our party together,” said the Massachusetts senator.
