Rep. Rashida Tlaib wants all members of Congress to submit DNA so they can better understand the “dehumanizing” experience of immigrants and their children.
“I think every member of Congress should go through this dehumanizing act of submitting their DNA,” the Michigan Democrat tweeted Tuesday. “The way we are treating immigrants, especially children, is disgusting and hurts all of us.”
Her tweet was a response to a CBS News article titled, “U.S. collecting DNA samples from some migrants — including teens — in first stage of program.”
