Sanders campaign fires newly hired staffer after anti-Semitic, homophobic tweets resurface

Bernie Sanders’ presidential campaign has fired a newly hired staffer after anti-Semitic and homophobic tweets resurfaced.

Darius Khalil Gordon announced that he had accepted a job with the campaign as deputy director of constituency organizing. By Friday, the campaign told CNN that they had dismissed Gordon over the tweets, which were brought to light by the Washington Free Beacon. In one tweet from 2011, Gordon said, “I got a black mans body, white mans power, [J]ew man money, and an [A]sian man life,” and he used a derogatory slur for gay people in a number of other tweets.
