‘There is no excusing it’: CNN anchor demands Trump condemn video immediately

CNN anchor Brooke Baldwin urged President Trump to condemn a fake video that depicts him killing many of his political and media adversaries.

“I don’t want to hear from your press secretary, who says you strongly condemn the video. I want to hear from you,” she said Monday. “We see a lot of videos, a lot of memes, a lot of satire, I know this is the YouTube, the Twitter generation. But this is different. This is beyond the pale. There is no excusing it, no OK’ing it. How could anyone involved in an event like this think that this is OK?”

“There is no place for a video like this today in America. None. Mr. President, it is now 2:49 p.m., Monday afternoon, condemn this video now,” she added.

Baldwin said she took the video “personally” and also mentioned another doctored video of Trump punching a person with the CNN logo over their face.

The latest video comes from the 2014 film Kingsman: The Secret Service, which originally depicted a character murdering a church full of Christians. Trump’s press secretary and his campaign condemned the video, which originally played at a conference at one of the president’s resorts.
