Teen accused of knifing brother: ‘I’d rather be in jail than in car with him’

A 13-year-old boy accused of stabbing his brother told police: “I’d rather be in jail than eight hours in the car with him.”

Investigators say the teenager stabbed his 15-year-old brother in the arm with a pocket knife three times.

As he was being questioned in Florida, the teenager said he understood his rights and did not regret the attack because his brother had been teasing him.

“I stabbed him and I don’t care about going back to jail,” the suspect told police.

Deputies with the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office have charged him with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.

The incident allegedly happened while the pair sat inside a car parked outside a house in the city of Crestview.

According to an incident report, officials had received reports that someone had suffered “deep puncture wounds” on Saturday afternoon.
