An earthquake has rattled a large part of southern California, according to the US Geological Survey.
The quake’s magnitude was measured at 6.4 when it struck on Wednesday morning local time near the town of Ridgecrest, about 150 miles northeast of Los Angeles.
It was 5.4 miles deep and was followed by several aftershocks.
People from Las Vegas to the Pacific Coast reported a rolling motion that shook shower doors and made hanging lights sway.
There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage.
