Prime Minister Tereza Mey told Russia's President Vladimir Putin that the two countries could have different relations only if Moscow ceases the actions that threaten to undermine international security, an unnamed spokesman for the British prime minister announced.
During the meeting on the margins of the G20 summit in Osaka, she asked Putin to extradite two suspected Russians who London considers responsible for the poisoning of former double agent Sergei Skripal and his daughter Julia in the English town of Solsbury last year.
– She told the President that normalization of bilateral relations can not be normalized until Russia interrupts with irresponsible and destabilizing actions, which threaten the United Kingdom and its allies – said the Mayor.
Everybody noticed an icy handshake between Maya and Putin.
She added that Maya said that the use of a nerve agent that was allegedly poisoned by the Skripalvi was not acceptable.
Russia has repeatedly denied involvement in an incident that took place in March last year.
