"Coats" paid for Promesa 15.7 million euros, and the transfer can grow to 17.2 million through a bonus.

Promes (27) signed a five-year contract with the Dutch champion and came to insist on coach Erik Ten Hague with whom he co-operated in Go Ahead Eagles.

During his career, he played for Twente and Spartak from Moscow, who sold him to Sevilla for 20 million.

Having dominated in Russia with 66 goals in 135 matches, he defeated Spain with only five goals last season.

For the national team of the Netherlands, he scored seven goals in 38 appearances, and with current selector Ronald Kuman is an important part of the rotation.

Promes is the third largest transfer in Ajax history, behind Daley Blind, who paid 16 million euros to Manchester United last year, and record holder Miralem Suleymani, whose arrival from Herenven in 2008 cost 16,25 million "kopalka".

Before the Promise, Ajax brought Developed Marine for 12.5 million from the Standard from Liez, goalkeeper Kyle Sherpen, Kick Piere and Lisandro Martinez.

It is only expected that the departures of the guys who exploded last season – Matijas de Liht, Hakim Ziheh, David Neres and Donia van de Beka, and these transfers could bring "coins" several hundred million euros.
