Iran will take new steps if European countries do NOT protect us from American sanctions

Iran nuclear agreement Tehran

Iran could soon further reduce compliance with the nuclear agreement if European countries do not protect it from US sanctions through a trade mechanism, said the head of the Strategic Council for International Relations Kamal Karazi.

He specified that Tehran will take new steps if European countries fail to take action within 60 days that Iran has set in May, according to Isna, a semi-official agency.

– “Our steps will be positive if Europeans invest resources in the planned trading mechanism Insteks and enable trade,” Karzai added.

Reuters reminds Iran in May that it will reduce compliance with the nuclear agreement reached in 2015 with world powers in protest of the US decision to unilaterally withdraw from the agreement and reintroduce sanctions against Tehran.
