The Fund for the Science of Serbia initiated, on the occasion of 100 days of work, the first program for financing research projects of young scientists worth six million euros.

According to the statement of the Fund, the goal of the Program for Outstanding Projects of Young Researchers (PROMIS) is to support the ideas from all areas of science and to involve young scientists in scientific research.
"Through the training of young PhDs in leadership and competition for projects at the national and international level, this program will also work on strengthening professional capacities in the early stages of their careers," the statement said.
The total fund is six million euros, or 200,000 per project for a period of two years.
The funds are intended for all areas of science, and a competition for young researchers' projects will be open until September 2 this year.
Milica Đurić-Jovičić, the Acting Director of the Fund, announced the Program of Cooperation with the Serbian Scientific Diaspora, as well as the Artificial Intelligence Development Program, which will also start during the year.
