State Secretary in the British Foreign Ministry, Mark Fild, was suspended today while waiting for an investigation after he caught the door and pushed a Greenpeace activist protesting for climate change by interrupting British Finance Minister Philip Hammond's speech.
– The prime minister saw the video and thinks he is very worrying, said British Prime Minister Teresa May.
Conservative party chairman Brendon Luis said that Fild was under investigation from the government after being filmed as he had pushed a woman out of a manifestation at Mansen Haus yesterday. Luis told ITV that it was "very difficult to defend" footage, but that the investigation will deal with "all the details of what happened."
Col. Conservative Peter Botomelli defended Filda, saying that he "did what every emotional person would do" during the expulsion of a demonstrator. Hamond continued his speech and defended government policy on climate change.
