You’d be forgiven for thinking that every day was National Pizza Day, but Saturday 9 February 2019 is the official day of the pizza, so switch your pepperoni for something a little more adventurous…
1 The ‘Bagelizza’ at Mulberry Street Pizza, Notting Hill
Did you know it’s also National Bagel Day on 9 February? Well it is, which presents a bit of a foodie dilemma… to gorge on pizza or bagels? Well, you can have your cake and eat it this weekend, thanks to the ‘Bagelizza’. The New York Bakery Co. has created the ‘Bagelizza’ – the UK’s FIRST ever bagel and pizza mash-up – in partnership with Mulberry Street Pizza in Notting Hill. The 12-inch bagel base is topped with marinara sauce, 300g of mozzarella, lashings of 21-day-aged grass-fed brisket, pastrami, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese and a drizzle of Russian dressing. Plus, they’re giving away hundreds of them for FREE on National Pizza Day at Mulberry Street Pizzeria (on a first-come-first-served basis from midday). You can also order one from Deliveroo.

3 Zia Lucia x The Athenian, Boxpark Wembley
Zia Lucia at Boxpark Wembley has teamed up with Greek street food purveyors The Athenian, to create a National Pizza Day special. Available from 9-17 February, the Pizza Day special tops Zia Lucia’ 48-hour slow-fermented pizza dough with The Athenian’s halloumi, Kalamata olives and oregano, plus Zia Lucia’s somewhat unconventional addition of smoked salmon.
